Interior Protection: The 3-Year Robinson Painting Warranty

Interior painting protected by Robinson Painting 3-year labor and material warranty.

Unmatched Peace of Mind for Your Home’s Interior

At Robinson Painting of Colorado LLC, we believe a high-end finish should be backed by a high-end promise. While interior warranties are extremely rare in the painting industry, we provide a 3-Year Labor and Material Warranty on the interior of your home. We do this because we believe in the “Robinson Standard” of preparation and want you to feel 100% confident in your investment. (Warranties are transferable with proof of purchase. You can provide a paid in full receipt of your painting project.).

What Is Covered: The Adhesion Guarantee

Our interior warranty specifically covers the adhesion of the paint to your walls, trim, and cabinetry.

  • The Fingernail Test: If the paint begins to bubble or can be easily scratched off with a fingernail, that is a concern of adhesion.
  • Early Detection: In the rare event of an adhesion issue, it typically becomes visible within the first 60 days. If you see these signs, we want to know immediately so we can address it.

The First 30 Days: The “Cure” Window

It is important to understand that while paint is dry to the touch within hours, it takes approximately 30 days to fully cure (harden to its maximum durability).

  • Be Gentle: During this 30-day window, please be extra gentle with your surfaces—especially if you have chosen a darker color.
  • The Hardening Process: Avoid scrubbing or heavy contact until the paint has had the full month to reach its factory-rated hardness.

What Is Not Covered (Maintenance vs. Warranty)

To maintain extreme transparency, we distinguish between a failure in paint application (covered) and standard wear-and-tear or “mechanical damage” (not covered). Examples of things not covered include:

  • Impact & Scuffs: If a suitcase hits a wall or furniture rubs against a surface and penetrates the coating, this is considered damage rather than a warranty failure.
  • Over-Scrubbing: Using abrasive tools or the wrong cleaning agents can damage the finish (much like using a rough sponge on a car’s clear coat).
  • Water Damage: Any moisture intrusion from leaks or flooding will compromise the paint bond.
  • Repetitive Use (Hand Oils): Frequent contact with painted wood (like grabbing the edge of a cabinet door instead of using the handle) can lead to premature wear from skin oils.
  • Delayed Cleaning: We recommend addressing stains quickly. Just like clothing, the longer a stain sits, the less likely it is to be removed without damaging the finish.

A Note from Adam Robinson

In my 20+ years of painting, I have never had a single interior warranty claim. This is a testament to the rigor of our prep process. However, I continue to offer this 3-year warranty because I want our new customers to have the same level of trust that our repeat customers have experienced for decades. We are committed to an excellent process and your dream outcome.
