The Robinson Painting Warranty: Our Commitment to Your Investment

Exterior painting protected by Robinson Painting 10-year labor warranty in Boulder, Colorado

High-Trust Protection for Your Colorado Home

At Robinson Painting of Colorado LLC, we don’t just walk away when the paint dries. As a third-generation company, we stand behind the “Robinson Standard” of preparation and application. We are so confident in our process that we require 0% down—you only pay once you are 100% satisfied—and we back our work with industry-leading labor warranties. (Warranties are fully transferable with proof of purchase; simply provide your ‘Paid in Full’ receipt to the new homeowner.)

Exterior Labor Warranties

Our exterior warranties are designed to protect your home against the harsh Colorado elements. The length of your warranty is determined by the premium Sherwin-Williams product you choose for your project:

10-Year Labor Warranty

Product: Sherwin-Williams Emerald® Exterior Acrylic Latex.

The Coverage: This is our “Best” tier protection. When you choose our top-tier product and the Robinson Standard application, we provide a full 10-year warranty on our labor to ensure your home remains the best-looking house on the block. (Note: In some cases, warranties may be honored for other paint products with prior written consent from Robinson Painting of Colorado LLC.)

5-Year Labor Warranty

Product: Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint® Exterior Acrylic Latex.

The Coverage: Our “Better” tier protection. SuperPaint is a Colorado staple, and when applied with our mandatory two-coat system, we confidently back it with a 5-year labor warranty. (Note: In some cases, warranties may be honored for other paint products with prior written consent from Robinson Painting of Colorado LLC.)

1-Year Labor Warranty (Stained Surfaces)

Product: Premium Exterior Stains (Solid or Semi-Transparent).

The Coverage: Due to the nature of wood stains and the intense UV exposure on the Front Range, we offer a 1-year labor warranty on all stained surfaces.

Why the difference? Unlike paint, which creates a thick protective shell, stain is designed to penetrate the wood. Because Colorado’s climate causes wood to expand and contract rapidly, stained surfaces require more frequent maintenance to stay protected.

What-Is-Covered

What Is Covered?

Our labor warranty covers the integrity of our application. If you experience peeling, blistering, or chipping as a result of our workmanship, we will return to scrape, prime, and repaint the affected areas at no cost to you.

Understanding Your Home’s Maintenance

To provide total transparency, there are a few things that fall under standard home maintenance rather than a labor warranty:

The Rubber Band Analogy (Caulking)

We re-caulk all previously caulked surfaces during prep. However, think of caulk like a rubber band; because residential cracks are small, they hold less material. As your home naturally shifts with Colorado’s temperature swings, these “rubber bands” may snap or re-crack. This is a normal part of home maintenance and not a failure of the paint application.

Horizontal Surfaces

Due to standing water, snow, and foot traffic, decks, railings, walking surfaces, and other horizontal surfaces are subject to extreme wear and are typically excluded from standard vertical-wall warranties.

Substrate Issues

Damage caused by structural shifts, settling, or moisture intrusion from leaking gutters/roofs is not covered by the paint warranty.

The “Satisfaction First” Guarantee

The “Satisfaction First” Guarantee

The strongest warranty we offer isn’t on a piece of paper—it’s our 0% Down Policy.

  • No Deposits: We take 100% of the risk.
  • Mandatory Walk-Through: You perform a final, critical inspection with our Team Lead before a single dollar is exchanged.
  • Total Peace of Mind: We aren’t finished until you say we are.

For This Warranty to Take Effect, You Must:

  • Retain a copy of the original contract.
  • Present evidence that all payments have been made in full upon completion.
  • Contact us by email – info@robinsonpaintingllc.com – so that we can arrange for an inspection of your property, explain the nature and extent of the covered repairs, and schedule the needed work.
  • Make the property accessible for us to perform the repairs.

Robinson Painting of Colorado LLC Will:

  • Perform all of the covered repairs at no cost to you.
  • Perform any covered repairs to surface preparation as described in original contract.
  • Perform any covered repairs on specific areas where peeling and/or blistering has occurred.
  • An exact color match cannot be assured, as environmental conditions will affect the color of all paint over time, but we will do our best to match colors as closely as possible.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover:

  • Any work where Robinson Painting of Colorado LLC did not supply the painting materials.
  • Any work which was not performed by Robinson Painting of Colorado LLC or its affiliates.
  • Any surfaces where someone other than Robinson Painting of Colorado LLC or its affiliates has attempted to do surface preparation or repairs.
  • Any peeling or blistering that Robinson Painting of Colorado LLC determines is the result of moisture intrusion problems. Properly applied paint can blister and peel in areas where the substrate is exposed to large amounts of moisture. Inadequately ventilated interior rooms (kitchens, bathrooms, etc.) and leaking roofs, windows, or gutters filled with debris are some of the usual moisture intrusion culprits.
  • Any horizontal surface or any surface where the damage is the result of a structural design that permits moisture to collect. This includes, but is not limited to, decks, railings, stairs, porches, and roofs.
  • Caulk/putty (caulking requires regular maintenance/reapplication).
  • Varnished or natural finished wood surfaces.
  • Conditions that are the result of a failure in the paint itself, including but not limited to: fading, chalking, flashing, or lapping.
  • The appearance of mildew, mold, or any other environmental conditions.
  • The appearance of cracks due to earthquakes or ground movement.
  • Pressure-treated wood may contain excess moisture due to chemicals used to treat the wood, and untreated/standard wood surfaces may contain natural oils that could affect paint adhesion; therefore, warranties may not apply to these surfaces.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE ONLY EXPRESS WARRANTY MADE BY Robinson Painting of Colorado LLC AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. THIS WARRANTY COVERS ONLY THOSE SERVICES PROVIDED BY Robinson Painting of Colorado LLC TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER NAMED ON THE FRONT OF THE JOB CONTRACT.
